He is an expert in <strong>laser-based time-resolved spectroscopy<\/strong> and its applications in <strong>photo-oxidation of biologically relevant systems<\/strong>. He earned his MSc and PhD from AMU, and in 2000 received a <strong>Fulbright Junior Fellowship<\/strong>. As a Fulbright fellow he spent one semester at <strong>Stanford University<\/strong> (CA, USA) and one semester at <strong>Notre Dame Radiation Lab<\/strong> (IN, USA), where he worked with Prof. K.-D. Asmus and Dr. Gordon L. Hug. After completing his PhD in 2002 he accepted a post-doc position at <strong>Optimare GmbH<\/strong> in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, where he worked for 3 years on the development of laser-based techniques.
